Buried Treasure

by M. J. Joachim
Transformed by the light, she sparkled in the sun. There was nothing new about this phenomenon, at least not to her. Glistening was essential to her beauty, though few would care to notice. Instead, they walked all over her, pushing her and beating her into the ground.

It was a sad plight, if she chose to look at it that way. Getting tossed about, tugged, pulled and yanked in all directions. Yet each bit of energy surged within her, as it molded her into what she must become.

She too was full of life, though no one seemed to notice or care…

No one save the mad scientist, that is. He knew there was more to her than meets the eye.

Startled by the giant eyeball looking down on her, and immobilized by the scientist’ tools, she unveiled herself.

“Eye has not seen the wonders of God in a simple grain of sand,” he said aloud, “and I have discovered a treasury few will ever understand.”

That’s all for now, good people! Thank you for visiting FlashTymeJ
