Toilet Paper Review: Angel Soft

by M. J. Joachim

Having used Angel Soft on and off for years, I was sadly disappointed recently and wonder if they might have changed their formula for making this common brand of bath tissue. A while back I was disturbed by the cling-ons left behind unexpectedly, where I always had to triple and quadruple check that my tush was not only clean, but free of debris too.

Lately though it’s been all about the rough wipe, scraping my butt as if I am using a fine grade of mild sandpaper. It seems thinner too, causing me to use more, not a good thing when I’m sanding my personal parts at all. I went so far as to leave the 9 unused rolls in the cupboard and buy another brand yesterday. We’ll see if this one is softer and easier to use. Speaking from experience, I certainly hope so.

This is only my personal opinion, of course. I get nothing out of it except to express myself using my right to free speech. How about you? Is anyone else willing to share their opinion of Angel Soft or any other brand of toilet paper in the comments? Bottoms up! Here’s hoping we have a wiping good discussion!

Keeping it clean,

M. J.

Gluten Free Quinoa & Lentil Stir Fry Recipe

by M. J. Joachim

Yesterday I made this wonderful Grain Recipe which I ate for lunch. Today, I made this amazing stir fry recipe with the leftovers that I’m eating for breakfast. I plan to have a mixed green salad for lunch topped with it too. Talk about healthy, gluten free and delicious!

Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a frying pan. Saute some colorful chopped peppers, green onions and diced tomato, plus some pre-cooked chicken in the butter. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Add a couple scoops of pre-made grain recipe and cook until mixture heats through.

The blend of flavors is amazing! It’s low fat, gluten free, easy to make and positively scrumptious!

Wishing you all a great weekend!

Combine 1/2 cup each of quinoa, wild rice, lentils and white rice in steamer. Add 2 cups chicken broth, 1 - 2 tablespoons basil, 1 tablespoon ginger, 1 - 2 teaspoons each of garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper. Cook according to your individual steamer/rice cooker instructions and enjoy!

The flavor is wonderful. This dish is filling and very good for you.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Nosey Neighbors!

by M. J. Joachim

Blogging in my living room when what do I see?
Four staring eyes taking pictures of me
Walking on the roof
From the house behind my own
Two nosey little girls
Staring straight into my home

Little did they know
I have a camera of my own
Attached and ready
On my personal phone
Without drawing attention
I stayed in the house
Took a couple pictures
Of the two curious mouse

Here’s the one I’ll share
Since it won’t expose their faces
I hope they learn a lesson
And stay out of neighbors spaces
I did go out and talk to them
Asked them what they’re doing
“Taking pictures,” was their answer
Before I sent them shooing!

Now that's when you know there is no such thing as privacy, not even in your own home! Are your neighbors watching and taking pictures of you too?
